Overview
This overview describes what you can expect when publishing with Paper Spider, from submission to publication.
Query and Proposal Submissions
The first step is to send us a query letter. We may then contact
you with a request to send us your proposal.
Proposals are reviewed and assessed by our in-house editor. Depending
on the subject matter, we may also refer your submission to an
outside assessor in the relevant field. We may contact you to
discuss your proposal and request that the completed manuscript be submitted
for further assessment.
If we are not able to accept your manuscript, please check out our
Writers’ Resources
for further guidance and assistance. There are many
venues to publish.
Upon Acceptance
If your manuscript is accepted by Paper Spider, we will sign
an agreement with you to publish your work.
We work closely with authors in improving the quality of their
manuscripts. Paper Spider may require changes in a manuscript
to improve its literary quality, to conform to a given style,
or to render the tone more appropriate for the audience. We expect our authors
to collaborate with us diligently in polishing their work and to
accept editorial changes. For many authors, this can be a beneficial
experience. We recommend the following books to writers who wish
to further improve their skills:
- The Elements of Style by William Strunk Jr. & E.B. White.
Available at www.ablongman.com
- The Chicago Manual of Style: The Essential Guide for Writers,
Editors and Publishers by the University of Chicago Press. Available
at www.press.uchicago.edu
Production
Paper Spider devotes much effort in turning good quality manuscripts
into high quality booksfrom editing, book design and typesetting,
cover design, electronic layout, ISBN, CIP to printing and electronic
conversions.
We use both P.O.D (Print-On-Demand) as well as conventional
printers to produce our printed books, depending on the demand
for the titles.
