Book Return Policy
THANK YOU for giving our books a chance on your valuable
shelf space. We issue a refund or a credit memo minus any shipping and
handling charges to book resellers whose return
satisfies all of the following requirements:
- We accept returns between ninety (90) days and one (1) year
of our invoice date, or as long as the edition
is still in print.
- The books must have been purchased explicitly as returnable books.
Books may be non-returnable, such as when they are purchased at further
discount rates.
- You must obtain return permission from us. We
will issue a Book Return Authorization Number (BRAN) to you
via email. Your BRAN must
be clearly indicated on the surface of your shipment. Returns
without BRAN will be rejected. Please email us using our form
or call 1-888-Books-88 with
your request for BRAN along with your invoice number.
- You must send your return along with your original invoice issued by Paper Spider.
We apply the highest discount (90%) to calcualte your refund if the original invoice is not provided
and we cannot determine the original discount rate.
- The books must have been purchased directly by you from Paper
Spider. Books that are sent to us by a third party or when they
should have been directed to a wholesaler or distributor, will
NOT be refunded. You must write to us to re-claim these books and pre-pay us for applicable
storage, handling and shipping back to you. We do not ship to
any third party, such as your distributors or wholesalers. After
120 days, the shipment is considered “unclaimed”
property. Paper Spider will do whatever it deems appropriate
without notification to any other party. Actions taken
in such cases include reselling, donating or destroying the
books.
- Returned books must arrive at Paper Spider in good salable
condition. No stamps, marks, stickers, etc., should be in or
on the books. Books with opened CDs, any disk products or electronic
books cannot be returned. If the books are already in non-salable
condition, do not return them. Please package the books the
same way they were sent to you. Keep them clean and immobilize
them. Stack each group of five books or less in a clean plastic bag. Cut
a shipping carton to the right size and stuff it tightly with
padding. Each carton should weight 40 pounds maximum.
We recommend using a pre-paid traceable method to ship your
return to us, such as pre-paid UPS. Resellers are
responsible for the original and return shipping charges.
Upon successful receipt and inspection of the returned books,
a refund will be made or a credit memo will be issued toward your
future purchases.
Sometimes it is more cost and time efficient to mark down the books and move them out.
We will be happy to send you marketing material to help sell our titles at your store.
Feel free to email us.
Non-receipt or damaged books
- We honour notice of shortage, non-receipt, receipt of wrong titles
or apparent damage from manufacturing received by us within 30 days of invoice date for U.S. and Canadian orders, and
within 60 days for orders from other countries. All other claims are rejected.
- We are not responsible for books damaged in transit.
Please make your claim to the carrier.
